Account set up and Maintenance

Username

We would strongly advise that all players under 18 years choose a username for the business game which doesn't reveal or indicate their identity.  We would also ask parents to consider the suitability of the username chosen by any young people, and how it appears to other game players, particularly considering that a large proportion of other players will be adults.

Subscriptions are secured using Worldpay's futurepay option.  The card details are held securely by Worldpay, and monthly, the amount of the subscription you have authorised will be debited to this card.

Additional Game Spend

The game does offer players the chance to purchase additional virtual currency, but the player cannot do this without having the card details to hand, and this must be done via an individually separate transaction each time.  This is to ensure that costs are not incurred on the card without additional authorisation, and rules out any ability for minority age players to run up any kind of a debt within the game.

Online & In-game Safety

Online Communication with other players

There are only very limited opportunities for players to communicate with other players online within the game.  There is currently no chat function, or instant messenger, or any other media which allow players to contact other players through or within the game.

Offensive Language.

Fantasy Couriers has in place a very comprehensive profanity checker which includes text, and slang, and also profanities in languages other than English.  We seek to always keep our profanity checker as current and comprehensive as possible, and we would urge any player or parent to report to us any use of offensive language.

Moderators

Fantasy Couriers has a bank of moderators called "dragons" who are individually selected by the company to provide assistance to players within the game.  They are also there to monitor playing activity, and to alert and take action over any unusual or unacceptable game playing practises.

Standards and Ratings

 COPPA (US)

We have prepared this guide, the website and the game to be voluntarily compliant with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.  This relates to websites suitable for children under 13 years of age.  We have chosen to do this because the safety of young people whilst using our game is paramount to us. 

PEGI (European)

The game and website has been designed to be compliant with the PEGI 12+ rating, as we believe that the game concept of running a business may not be suitable for children younger than 12 years of age.  (However parents may find it reassuring to know that the game & website meets all the standards of the 7+ rating also.)
