Delivery Job Board -  Tutorials and Help

 

The job board is the place where your skill and business acumen is going to be proven.  A small slip here could mean the difference between a profit and a huge loss.  As they say, all of the skill is in the planning, and it's here that you plan your jobs and routes.

 

The Job Board shows the list of all delivery jobs available, it's your task to select the right combination of jobs, to plan a route that earns you more income than it costs you to do it.

 

First on the job board is the consignment number, this number is used to identify and track the jobs done.  The consignments change continually on Fantasy Couriers.

 

The business name is the name of your Fantasy Customer, these are the companies that need the virtual deliveries done. 

 

Distance - this is the distance from your starting postcode, the postcode that you chose on start up to be the home base for your business, to the collection postcode of the delivery job.  This is not the distance between the collection postcode and the delivery postcode.

 

Size - This is the size of the job.  There are three sizes; small, medium and large.  The small jobs are available to everyone with a van of any size, the medium jobs are only available to those that have a large or medium sized van, and the large jobs are only available to those that have a large van, and for large jobs you also need a pallet and an employee.

 

Fees - this is the amount of income that you earn by doing this job.  There are three fee income levels and these correspond to the size of the job.  The fee income for the large jobs is quite a lot more than the medium and small jobs, but remember not only do you need a large van, but also an employee and pallets - is it worth it?

 

Collection Postcode - This is the pick up address for each of the delivery jobs.

 

Delivery Postcode - This is the delivery address for each of the jobs.

 

So that's a summary of the data on the job board, question now is what do you do with it?  Well, browse the list and click on the jobs that you want to do.  You can then press the button on the job board that says "take on job" and it will add it to your job schedule,

 

You don't need to worry about the order of the jobs as you add them to your schedule.  Later on you'll go into the Job Schedule screen where you can order the collections and deliveries into a nice sensible route.

Or you can click on "company info" to find out more information about the company that wants you to deliver their products.

 

At any time you can click on the button "job schedule" and this will take you through to the screen where you can order your collections and deliveries.

 

"Job history" shows you the jobs that you've done in the past.
